Well, this is it. My husband, the newly-minted Weekend Warrior, has gone to his first drill weekend.
This morning at 4:30, when he left to drive the 2 hours to report, I saw him in uniform for the first time and suddenly it didn't feel like he was playing dress up anymore. He actually is in the National Guard, in the Army. And he will be for the next six years.
